Privacy Policy

Droplet ("we", "the app") is a hydration tracker published by Kode Foundry. We built Droplet to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.

1. Account information

If you create an account, we use Firebase Authentication (Google) to store your email address, and the name and username you provide. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email those services share. This is used to identify your account and sync your profile.

2. Hydration and profile data

Your drink logs, daily goal, weight, height, date of birth, country, and settings are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData and synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). We do not have access to your iCloud data.

3. Camera, photos, and face verification

Droplet's optional "proof mode" and profile photo features use the camera:

• During onboarding you may enroll a reference photo of your face. From it we compute an on-device mathematical representation (using Apple's Vision framework) used only to check that a later drink photo is you. This matching happens entirely on your device.
• When a reminder fires, you may take a selfie to confirm you drank. These photos and your profile avatar may be stored in Firebase Storage (Google), scoped to your account, so they can sync and appear as your daily "memory".

We use these images only for the features above. We do not use them for advertising, do not share them, and you can delete them by deleting your account.

4. Health data

With your permission, Droplet reads and writes water intake to Apple Health (HealthKit). This data is provided by Apple, stays on your device, and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.

5. Location

If you enable weather-aware reminders, Droplet uses your approximate location to adjust hydration goals for temperature. Location is used on-device and is not stored on our servers.

6. Notifications

With your permission we send local reminder notifications. If push notifications are enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) processes a device token to deliver them.

7. Analytics

The app and this website use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (for example which features are used) so we can improve Droplet. This does not identify you personally.

8. Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.

9. Your rights and deletion

You can edit your information in Settings, and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your authentication record, stored photos, and profile. Local data is erased and iCloud data is removed on sign-out.

10. Children

Droplet is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
